HTC teases new VR headset – possibly the HTC VIVE Focus 4.
HTC, the creators of popular VR headsets like the HTC VIVE Focus 3, HTC VIVE Pro 2 and VIVE XR Elite, have released a short video on YouTube to tease a new upcoming VR headset, the HTC VIVE Focus 4 potentially.
The teaser video doesn’t share any information about the new headset except it’s possible shape but it seems the specifications might already leaked on social media.
Bradely Lynch, a VR hardware analyst, has posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) the possible specifications of HTC’s new headset. If the shared information is true, then the new VR headset of HTC will have the same style controllers, display and form as the HTC VIVE Focus 3.

This post suggests the release of the HTC VIVE Focus 4 or potentially a revision of the current HTC VIVE Focus 3. As no official information has been shared by HTC these specs and name are all rumors based on the social media post.
A stand out new feature of the new headset would be the inclusion of the built-in eye tracker. This feature is already possible on the HTC VIVE Focus 3 but only with a separate accessory which adds quite a bit of weight and cost.
Looking at the trend of the previous HTC standalone headset releases (VIVE Focus 3 & VIVE XR Elite) it is to be expected that the price of the upcoming headset will be more expensive than the Meta Quest 3 and the upcoming Pico headset. We predict the price will be around €900 – €1500.
It is expected that HTC might release more information at the upcoming Augmented World Expo (AWE) in Vienna at October 29-30.
