Immersive Tech Week – How to get there and where to find VR Expert

VR Expert will be exhibiting at this years Immersive Tech Week in partnership with Pico. The Immersive Tech Week is a unique festival where creativity, innovation, business, research and art meet to explore the impact of immersive technologies on our planet, culture, and society. This year the event will be held in the heart of Rotterdam, at de Doelen, It will take place from the 28th of November until the 2nd of December. With the Tradeshow taking place from the 30th of November until the 2nd of December.

To help you get the most out of Immersive Tech Week, we at VR Expert made an overview of key information including map of the event, how to get there and what to expect:

Map of the Event

Below you can find a map of the event hall. VR Expert can be found on Booth 7 highlighted in orange below. Good to know is that VR Expert will be on the booth with Pico, SyncVR Medical & Warp VR.

The venue is also equipped with a number of useful amenities. To make your experience even better.

  • Wardrobe and Storage
      • Directly after entering the venue to your left, you will be able to drop your bag and coat at the Wardrobe section. 
  • Badges
      • After entering the venue on your right you can collect your badges for the event. Make sure to do this to ensure you have access to the correct facilities.
  • Restrooms
      • Restrooms are available in 4 locations at the venue. On the ground floor the toilets are located behind the badges collection area or adjacent to booth 1. As well as next to both entrances to the Van Cappellen Zaal. On the first floor you can locate the restrooms by walking past Booth 63 and the stairs.
  • Cafe / Bar
    • Food and beverage are available from two locations one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor. On the ground floor, food and beverage can be found between booths 10 and 12. On the first floor it can be found between booths 59 and 58.

Getting to the Venue

De Doelen is situated in the centre of Rotterdam below are a number of options and how to get there.

Train

If you are coming by train we recommend going to Rotterdam Central Station, from there it is a 5 minute walk to the venue.

Car

If you are coming by car there are a number of parking options available, these are not free though and can be seen below:

  • Parking Schouwburgplein – Weenatunnel 50, Rotterdam (follow signs Parking Centraal Station)
  • Parking Weena – Karel Doormanstraat 10, Rotterdam
  • Parking Plaza – Kruisstraat 17, Rotterdam
  • Parking Kruiskade / Hilton – Kruiskade 21, Rotterdam

Opening and Closing Times of Immersive Tech Week TradeShow

The Immersive Tech Week will take place from the 28th of November until the 2nd of December with the actual tradeshow taking place from the 30th of November until the 2nd of December. Below is a breakdown of the opening and closing times of the tradeshow

  • Wednesday, 30 November
    • 10:00-17:00
  • Thursday, 1 December
    • 10:00-17:00
  • Friday, 2 December
    • 10:00-16:00
