Meta fans from Germany can be happy. The Meta Corporation (formerly Facebook) has announced that the VR headsets of the Quest series will soon also be available in Germany.
After more than 2 years of the sales ban on Meta/Facebook products in Germany, there is now apparently a turnaround. A Meta company spokesperson confirms that the Meta Quest 2 “will come to Germany already within this year. We also plan to bring the Meta Quest Pro to the German market as soon as possible.”
The reason for this: Meta has reacted to the concerns of the Federal Cartel Office and has recently offered a new account solution with the creation of a Meta account for the Quest headsets. This eliminates the Facebook requirement, which means that Meta’s VR headsets will soon be available in Germany again.
