The Pico 4 Enterprise will be available for pre-order from the 1st of November. Around VR Days (Immersive Tech Week) the Enterprise version will beginning shipping to clients and be available for purchase.
The enterprise-targeted headset has all the great qualities of the standard Pico 4, like a much slimmer form factor from pancake optics, hand tracking, and mixed reality. On top of that the Enterprise version will come with additional innovations and technologies to support enterprise use.
To mimic facial expressions and enable non-verbal communication, Pico 4 Enterprise has integrated eye and face tracking. While eye tracking also makes Pico 4 Enterprise a useful tool with use cases that can be enriched by high quality tracking data. At the same time, facial tracking will make meetings and other social VR applications more lifelike and immersive. The built in eye tracking also allows for dynamic foveated rendering, enabling better graphical performance and improved battery life.
Similar to the other VR headsets from Pico, Pico 4 Enterprise will have an integrated Mobile Device Manager (MDM). This enables organizations to update applications separately, determine specific safety allowances (Kiosk Mode) and control the device wirelessly.
The Pico 4 Enterprise will be run on an open android operating system. This is one of the areas Pico has always excelled in allowing for APK’s to easily be loaded on to devices, without having to deal with having to publish applications in the store. Furthermore, other MDM’s and existing android applications can be used on the device.
